The values that inspire us, guide us and make us want to take that extra step are written in our DNA.
The values to be found in our team’s DNA are what motivate us: being passionate about what we do, always trying to improve to achieve excellence, being committed to the project, acting with integrity and being aware that we can only go forward if we work as a team.
We are passionate about the quality of our work, our processes, products and services. Quality is non-negotiable.
We fly the flag for our project and we are committed to providing our clients with the best Quality, Efficiency, Level of Service and Confidence.
Sugal means constantly trying to be, do and produce more and better each day and thus build excellence into products, processes and people.
Sugal means acting with integrity when it comes to principles, ethics, the confidence we have built up and which is shown in the products we make, our relationships with our stakeholders and the team that develops this project with us.
Sugal is a Team, we say that “we are one”, a Global Team, which from Chile to Spain via Portugal knows that only by working together for a common cause can we build the Sugal of the future.
Sugal was founded in 1957 in Azambuja (a town in the Ribatejo region, Portugal), where its first production facility was built. For over 60 years the shareholders and founders have set out a vision of creating a sustainable business that meets the need to sell the region’s agricultural produce, while at the same time creating jobs in an area which, at the time, was experiencing serious difficulties. Since the very beginning, the vision of the founders (who are still shareholders) was based on training and developing people, the search for technologically advanced solutions and the building up of a culture of passion for the quality of products, processes and level of service.
