1.Reception and Classification

All the tomato received at Sugal is classified based on a random representative sample. The grading system will evaluate tomatoes based on the following criteria’s :

  • Industrial process adjustments
  • Tomato brix (% of soluble solids in the fruit) content 
  • Quality: maturity and health
     

The load will be refused and sent back to the field everytime the quality is below the established parameters.
